The Macallan Anecdotes of Ages is a limited edition collection that celebrates a unique collaboration between the art and whisky worlds – it’s created in collaboration between The Macallan Lead Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess and the acclaimed British pop artist Sir Peter Blake.
The painter, sculptor, and printmaker designed album covers for British rock icons like The Beatles and The Who. The bottles feature meaningful art inspired by the history, community, and The Macallan estate.
This is a special single malt whisky, created by The Macallan Lead Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess who was inspired by Sir Peter Blake’s character. Dedicated to Sir Peter Blake’s visit to The Macallan Estate on the River Spey, this complex yet perfectly balanced concoction begins with a gorgeous cinnamon hue.
The nose is rich in dried fruits and spices with a touch of orange and clove, leading to a flavorful palate with dried fruits, cracked black pepper, treacle, accents of vanilla and orange oil. The finish is long and oaky with cinnamon and cacao notes.
This thoughtful love letter to a decades-long partnership and whisky is a rare tipple with an impeccable pedigree, and it tastes just like it. The label was digitally designed by Sir Peter himself.
