This new edition has been awarded at the World Whiskies Awards 2020 with the title of “Best Limited Edition Blend in the World”.
Entirely composed of malt and grain whiskies from Japan, Ichiro Akuto the creator of this whisky used single malts from his distillery in Chichibu, but also rare and precious casks from the closed distilleries of Hanyu and Kawasaki that he was able to recover and store in Chichibu.
Hanyu, his grandfather’s distillery, distilled only single malt, the last casks of which are now about twenty years old, while Kawasaki was a distillery entirely dedicated to the production of grain whisky.
