Kentucky Owl “Takumi Edition” Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the second limited edition to come from Kentucky Owl in 2022.
It’s a collaboration between their own Master Blender John Rhea and Nagahama Distillery Master Blender Yahisa Yusuke.
Rhea is a seasoned industry veteran, while Yusuke is a rising star on the Japanese whisky scene. The whiskey itself is a blend of Kentucky straight bourbons aged 4, 5, 6, and 13 years, distilled from mash bills of corn, rye or wheat, and malted barley.
Bottled at 100 proof, the whiskey features a rich taste profile with savory, sweet caramel, fruity, and spicy notes. It’s a true collaboration between two great whiskey-making nations and two generations of master blenders. 25,000 bottles of the Takumi Edition whiskey were produced.
