About WhistlePig The Boss Hog IX: Siren’s Song Straight Rye Whiskey
Aside from a great-sounding name, WhistlePig initially started as a dairy farm and then transformed into a whiskey-making haven in 2007. Their specialty is Rye Whiskey, and they’re famous for raising animals such as Kunekune pigs, sheep, goats, horses, and bees.
Thanks to the former Master Distiller Dave Pickernell, WhistlePig gained momentum with Dave’s contribution to the initial stock of Canadian whiskey and his introduction of the brand’s first blend.
The Boss Hog IX: Siren’s Song Straight Rye Whiskey is a unique spirit in The Boss Hog Odyssey, beginning its journey with the oldest rye whiskey on the farm, boasting a double finish in casks that previously held Greek fig nectar.
Siren’s Song is bottled between 102.5 – 106.2 proof and features supple sweetness and exotic spice. This particular edition also showcases a unique cask finish by WhistlePig’s very own Liz Rhoades, head of whiskey development, and Meghan Ireland, head blender.
